Annotate recording data

Annotations allow you to mark specific points or time spans of interest in the recording data and add comments with additional information. Team members can view, respond to, and discuss annotations, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment.

An annotation is associated to an recording. An annotation has a title, timestamp, duration (for single point annotations this is 0). It can also contain comment(s), if added.

Any user with access to the organisation and project can view annotations.

Add annotations

To be able to add annotations a user need to have the role as Editor or Owner in the project.

To add an annotation, click the Annotate icon to enter the annotation mode. Once in the annotate mode you can click to annotate one point in time or drag to annotate a timespan.

A title is required to create an annotation, and is restricted to 30 characters. To add additional information, add a comment. The comment will end up in a thread where team mates can comment further.

Comment on annotations

Any user with access to the organisation and project will be able to view annotations or comments, but in order to comment the user need to be an Editor or Owner of the project.

Use the comment thread to add additional information about the issue or discuss the problem at hand.

Share visualizations

Share your chosen panels by using the Share button above the panels and copy the url.

Only users with access to the project will be able to access the shared view.

Tip! Link to specific tickets in your preferred ticketing tool by adding an url in an annotation comment. Similarly, use the share button to copy an url to the annotated recording and add it in the corresponding ticket, to track and discuss issues efficiently.
